Rivers of Hope: if you are experiencing domestic violence and live in Wright or Sherburne County reach out to us to talk to an advocate and learn about what resources are available to you.

Day One: call Day One’s 24/7 crisis hotline at 1-866-223-1111 for advocacy from a supportive person, choices about involving law enforcement, help with trying to locate a safe place/shelter, and to get connected with a variety of resources.

Standpoint: provide Minnesota survivors and their professionals with support, training, advocacy, and legal advice. Lawyers and advocates answer the action line M-F during business hours, 800-313-2666.

211-United Way: provides free and confidential health and human services information for people in Minnesota 24/7. Call if you are looking for resources on criminal justice & civil legal services, employment, financial assistance programs, food, housing shelter, mental health, and more.

People Serving People: the largest & most comprehensive emergency shelter in Minnesota for families experiencing homelessness, if you are experiencing homelessness call 612-348-9410 to speak with the Hennepin County Shelter Team (M-F, 8:30am-9:00pm, weekends/holidays 1pm-9pm)

Central MN Sexual Assault Center: CMSAC provides free and confidential services to all survivors/victims and concerned persons of sexual violence. Call their 24/7 crisis line at 320-251-4357.

Twin Cities Men’s Center: Offer a variety of services to men including support groups for men experiencing relationship violence.

Food, Financial, and Housing Resources 

Wright County Community Action Food Shelf: a food shelf serving all Wright County residents, regardless of what community they call home

Fare for All: Fare For All buys fresh produce and frozen meat and sells it in $10-$30 packages at locations through Minnesota, goes to Buffalo & Elk River once a month

Monticello Help Center: provides help with food and clothing in Monticello, to learn more call 763-295-4031

CAER Food Shelf: food programs available to residents of Elk River, Zimmerman, Otsego, and surrounding areas, 763-441-1020

Buffalo Food Shelf: provides essential food and hygiene items for Buffalo and Montrose, MN residents in need

Becker Food Shelf: located in the Becker City Hall, call 763-261-4612 to learn more

Big Lake Food Shelf: serving the Big Lake area, call 763-263-2432

Tri-Cap: Serves Sherburne, Stearns, & Benton Counties. Provides support with basic needs, self-sufficiency, and building stability

Wright County Community Action: provide services to Wright County residents in the areas of self-sufficiency, nutrition, housing, and education

Lutheran Social Services: offers financial & employment, housing & assistance, and mental health services among others.

Catholic Charities: offers financial services, appointments can be scheduled online for the St. Cloud location

Wright County Financial Assistance Program: provides services to Wright County residents who meet eligibility requirements

Sherburne County Financial Assistance Program: provides services to Sherburne County residents who meet eligibility requirements

Beyond Backgrounds: offer services to help individuals find and maintain stable housing

NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness, offers resources for individuals with mental illness; family members & caregivers; kids, teens & young adults; and more.

Thumbs Up: offer a middle & high school after school program in Elk River Monday-Friday 2:15-5:00 pm, mental health activities include Willow the Therapy Dog, art therapy workshops, mental health first aid training, and more

Wave Youth Center: a youth center located in Big Lake offering a mentorship program, vocational training, life skills coaching, a good neighbor & community stewardship program, and a mental health & well-being program

Open Doors for Youth: a drop-in resource center in Elk River for youth (16-24) who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability, offer support with employment, education, medical services, mental health services, housing options, and more
